Room Six Visits the Life Education Van

Here we are  with Michael in the Life Education Van.

This year we were learning about the CIRCULATORY SYSTEM


Our body needs nutrients, water and oxygen to work properly. These three things are carried to all parts of our bodies by the blood. We learned that our blood is pumped by a special organ called the HEART.The heart is the strongest muscle in the body.

MARMALADE TASTING

Marmaduke Duck and the Marmalade Jam is a story about Marmaduke Duck who finds a grapefruit tree and makes delicious marmalade jam. We read the story in class and then discovered that not too many people knew what marmalade was, and hadn't tasted it.

Soooo....... Mrs Barker bought two kinds of marmalade and we had a taste test. Most people who liked marmalade chose the Sweet Tangelo and Orange flavour. Only seven people thought the Breakfast marmalade was okay.

Monster Faces

Our first visual art project for the term is to create  MONSTER FACES. We have read a few books about monsters to give us some ideas for our pictures.Here we are working on our pictures. Keep a lookout for the finished pictures.
